‘Profile’ : Order Form :
Our Association has published five issues of ‘profile’ since autumn 1997. These five issues have dealt with the following themes in relation to G&SWR history : Dumfries Station Hotel and Its centenary, the developments to the Smellie 22 class 0-6-0 goods locomotive, G&SWR signalling & telegraphy, the Ayr and Cumnock railway, and the Largs Branch. However, our first ‘Profile’, which covered Dumfries Station Hotel and was published in autumn 1997, is now ‘sold out’. Similarly, ‘Profile’ No.2, which dealt with the Smellie 22 class locomotives, and was published in autumn 1998, and ‘Profile’ No.3 which surveyed G&SWR signalling & telegraphy, and was published in autumn 1999, are also both now ‘sold out’.
The two issues of ‘Profile’ which are still available for purchase are as follows :
‘Profile’ No.4 : the Ayr and Cumnock railway’, which consists of 32 pages + card cover @ A5 format. Enclosed within the text are various line drawings, along with black & white photographs, plus tablature data. This issue of ‘Profile’ was published in autumn 2000.
‘Profile’ No.5 : the Largs Branch’, which consists of 32 pages + card cover @ A5 format. Enclosed within the text are various line drawings, signalling diagrams, black & white photographs, and tablature data. This issue of ‘Profile’ was published in autumn 2001.
